COLOR COLOR AND MORE COLOR! Snowmass Violet is loaded with color genetics. Newly added to our Breeding Program, we are excited for what Violet, with her exceptional lineage & fleece characteristics brings to our herd, with her current and future breedings. Her sire-Incan Magic is the premier Gray Herdsire of the North American Alpaca Stud, and is owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Alpacas, who holds him exclusively with limited outside breedings. With the fiber density and ultra fine fleece he inherited from his dam, 4Peruvian Amanda (who in 2006, at the age of 15, had an AFD <17!!), Magic has traits that are often sorely missing in this color category. Her dam-Snowmass Zima consistently throws award-winning cria, & though she may be white, she is a hidden treasure of color genetics, with her parents being Medium Rose Grey/White and True Black. True to her genes, Zima has thrown mostly Blacks, Silver Greys, & Rose Greys. Violet's fiber combines lovely long staple length with density and ultra fineness even at 10 years of age!! She has a history of producing fine-fleeced crias (6 out of 9 were females!), is a great mother and an easy birther. She is gentle on the lead, will step right up on the scale, and will hold still for toenail clipping. In 2010, when bred to bay black Brio Encantado, she produced an LSG girl-Incan Essence. In 2012, when bred to 1/2 Accoyo Rivanna Stormy Monday, she threw another beautiful girl-Incan Lunes, who though is mostly a variated light fawn, has a touch of rose gray too!! Last year, when bred to Silver Spoon Viola, she produced a gorgeous beige male. A free rebreeding comes with Violet upon purchase to any of our herdsires.

We are excited to add Lunes to our breeding program. Loaded with exceptional color genetics and fleece characteristics, her fleece is not only very bright with tight crimp, but also has dense bundles of low micron, low amplitude, high frequency crimp with long staple length.
