We've been searching for a black herdsire to cover our Captain Midnight, Contender and Chicago offspring. We think Braxton is our guy. We are so excited to announce that Braxton has been awarded the Color Championship in the Black Male Invited Champions at the 2021 National Alpaca Show in Grand Island Nebraska. Thank you to our partner Lynn Edens for showing Estates Sakima's Braxton. It is interesting to note that Braxton's sire, Patagonia Estates Sakima won Reserve Champion Black Male at the age of 69 months at this same show. That says a lot about the future. Braxton and his wonderful combination of genetics are exciting for the future of black (and grey) alpacas here at Cinco C's Alpacas and Little Creek Farm Alpacas. Braxton won again at the 2022 AOA National Alpaca Show in Ft Wayne, IN. He was awarded 1st and Champion Black Male in the Invited Champions Class for 2022. He's now back to work and we anxiously await his first group of crias. Thank you to all you folks who have inquired about breedings to Braxton. Braxton's breedings are closed to outside breedings. Both farms have females bred to him for sale. His first crias have arrived and they stunning! Of his 29 crias 22 are black and our latest is a DSG female. He has 2 DF crias both from white dams. There are many champions so far and I'm betting on at lot more to come. The crias I have had my hands on are all very uniform with very bright, dense fleeces. An interesting fact is that of his 30 registered offpring 22 are true black and 21 are females. We're excited to see the next round of crias from Braxton. Color Genotype EEa2a2

Dam: 5C's Chocotini

Amazing Production Female

5C's Chocotini

HuacayaFemaleDark Brown
AOA# 31342087DOB: 10/28/200816 yrs
We absolutely love this girl. She's the first cria from our Chantica and she's every bit as wonderful as her mother. Chocotini's dark brown fleece is extremely dense with a very high frequency crimp. Her phenotype is stunning and her demeanor is very pleasing. See her...touch her and take a look at her fiber stats at 15 years old and you will realize why she's so priceless to us. Check out the photo of her first cria Chanel. Then check her 2nd cria, Captain Midnight. She's a great mother and producer. We're so pleased that her beautiful brown daughter, Chocolate Kiss is now producing at Hilltop Hideaway in Virginia. 7/11/2022 Delivered a TB/BB female sired by Braxton. Ciara is another Champion offspring for Chocotini. Chocotini and Dark Chocolate created a beautiful male for us. Born 6/13/2024. We haven't decided if he's black or dark brown but his quality is unquestionable. We look forward to watching this guy grow up. A 16 year old dam with a 76# cria at 6.5 months of age. What a gem. At 16 Chocotini is still healthy and stunning, but we have decided to allow her to retire here on the farm. She has done amazing things for us.

Service Sire: CCNF Dominion

CCNF Dominion

From the CCNF website: Though still coming of age, CCNF Dominion represents the latest exciting riff on the Elixir/Matrix Majesty crosses that have meant so much to our breeding program in recent years. Experienced alpaca breeders worldwide know the look of a potential ringer when they see one and such was the case with this young male. We had envisioned already soon after his birth that Dominion (why else would we saddle the little dude with a name like that?) would one day rise and join his older cousins CCNF Dreadnought and CCNF Sovereign Legacy, helping to carry forth his pedigree’s powerful legacy. Already a maternal great-grandson of CCNF Magdalena and therefore possessed of arguably the most potent blood in our breeding program’s 23 year history, Dominion also has Snowmass Royal Challanger, his sire Snowmass Royal Rose (a founding member of the North American Alpaca Stud), and by extension the legendary Peruvian Hemingway coursing through his veins. None of which is meant to denigrate nor minimize the importance elsewhere in his pedigree of imported alpaca Goddesses 4Peruvian Isabella and 5Peruvian Cangalli, both of whom would remain top-flight foundation females were they still with us. The bottom line though is that Dominion’s pedigree reads a bit like a murderer’s row of alpaca genetics! When those genetics then all amalgamated into the ripping young male we now see rapidly developing before us, we were understandably excited. With a genetic profile most similar to his older cousin, CCNF Sovereign Legacy (the great-grandson of Golden Sovereign, Magdalena’s full brother), it stands to reason that the two of them will ultimately compete for the same pool of females within our program. Though as we’ve said before elsewhere, having too many great Herdsires is like a baseball team having too much pitching depth, there is really no such thing. We are also thrilled to announce that as of December, 2019 that we now co own CCNF Dominion with Chris and Lori Works of Kendall Creek Farms Alpacas! We know from repeated first hand experience, what a positive impact a Herdsire of Dominion’s profile can have when plugged into an already established breeding program such as Kendall Creek’s and we look forward to seeing those results in the years to come! Once working, Dominion will generally be spending the majority of the spring and fall at Kendall Creek, with the summer months spent here at his birth farm. Kendall Creek Farms is honored and delighted to have this absolute stud as part of our program. We are certain that Dominion will take our breeding program to even higher places.... Thank you Ian and Jennifer for offering his co-ownership!!

Description

5C's Ciara is the first cria from Braxton, In this case we chose Captain Midnight's dam and I think we have another great one! Ciara is a big sturdy female with plenty of promise. Color Champion as a yearling. She is most likely her dam's replacement and we'll breed her in the spring of 2024. June 2025, Ciara delivered a spectacular light fawn male sired by the one and only Magavin. This little guy is everything we had hoped for. (Well ....we were hoping for black but we're not disappointed) Chancellor is an exciting combination of both of his champion parents and we are loving watching him develop. It was really tempting to breed Ciara back to Magavin, but we opted to go off the farm to breed her to bring in some different genetics. We didn't have to look far since CCNF Dominion was in our back yard. We love what we have seen from Dominion and think he is a great choice for Ciara. We'll see if we are right in June 2026.
