ee aa -- sired by champion grey

Clair is a beautiful girl -- well-developed, well-grown and conformed spot on with a typey headstyle, good coverage, and a dense, uniform blanket.
Her genetic typing results are ee a2a3, a diluted black. So, when bred to an undiluted black she will have a black cria.
Clair had her first cria by our multiple champion light rose grey AutumnSun's Artorius, a light brown girl who looks and behaves just like her laid back sire.
Interestingly, this Artorius girl, Veronica, color genotypes as Ee aa -- which is associated with dark / black and in my experience also roans of any color saturation (so, very likely another gene is in play). Newsflash - as she ages, this brown girl is going modern grey /roan!
To lean into that further, we have bred Clair to Magistrate, a champion roan who has been proven to produce roan!
Though it is hard to see, Clair has a white forehead - demonstrating her white mark gene that will help her produce a classic grey when bred to the right male.
