Alhambra is a beautiful light rose grey female who combines some of the most influential genetics in modern grey and color breeding. Her sire, Estates Pure Reflection (Snowmass XXtreme × Crescent Moon’s Donato), brings proven Snowmass fineness and uniformity, while her dam, Irish Meadows’ Della, adds the powerful dark color influence of Jacob Black and Irish Meadows’ Showtime. This depth of pedigree makes Alhambra an excellent choice for breeders focused on grey and black production. Her 2024 EPDs highlight strengths in Mean Staple Length (Top 25%) and Fleece Weight (Top 25%), confirming her value as a production female capable of contributing both length and fleece volume to her offspring. While her fineness ranks in a more moderate range, this is balanced by pairing her with sires that excel in uniformity and density. Alhambra is currently bred to CSAF .38’s Mercury Rising (Medium Silver Grey, son of Aussie .38 Special) with a projected due date of July 2026. This cross is expected to produce highly marketable grey or dark offspring, with ~65–80% chance of grey and strong odds of black or bay brown when non-grey. The combination of Alhambra’s rose grey background and Mercury’s proven record of producing dark and grey cria makes this an exciting and strategic pairing.

Description

Granada is a medium brown female out of Irish Meadows’ Alhambra (light rose grey) and sired by Macpaca’s Brigadier (light fawn). With her dam’s rose grey genetics, Granada carries valuable color potential while showing the balance, substance, and fleece quality her pedigree is known for. She represents a strong combination of color and quality in our foundation herd. In July 2025, Granada was bred to Snowmass Smoke N Mist, a medium rose grey male valued for his fleece weight, crimp character, and color genetics. This pairing was chosen to enhance her natural strengths and bring out the possibility of grey in her offspring. Why Granada Stands Out • Medium brown female with rose grey dam • Out of Irish Meadows’ Alhambra × Macpaca’s Brigadier • Correct frame and promising fleece quality • Bred to Smoke N Mist (July 2025) for grey potential
