Matchless is an outstanding breeding male out of our foundation herdsire Shining Armor. We sold some Shining Armor breedings to B I Bar Ranch and we liked the offspring they produced so much that we purchased them! Matchless was one of those we purchased and he did not disappoint. Lovely conformation, beautiful luster, and a calm disposition. We ran a grid test on his blanket in September, 2025 (5 years of age) and while there is some variance across the blanket for AFD, all is within the Grade 3 class, AND he has maintained a standard deviation across the blanket in the 4s - so critical to producing high quality yarn and end products. Matchless ranks in the top 4% for AFD and top 2% SD and his biopsy stats at two years of age are as follows: Density - 67.25 S/P Ratio - 12.3 P-S spread - 7.3 (28.1 - 20.8) He has offspring on the ground and we are very pleased with the results! (Note that Matchless has now produced as dark as bay black, for those who breed for color in your herd).
