Kameyosek's 2025 cria is another awesome medium silver male grey named Loki! We were so pleased with their 2023 cria, that we rebred Kameyosek and Jupiter . When bred to grey Kameyosek has produced grey 7 out of 10 times, and 6 out of 10 times she has produced females. Making her our second top grey producing female, both her parents were true blacks. Jupiter has sired 14 greys, 2 browns, 2 blacks, 2 medium fawns, 10 males, 10 females. Her first two crias were both sired by High Plains Elvis, a beautiful rose grey female Sweet Pea, followed a year later by silver grey Khan. Sweet Pea took 4th place at the 2013 Alpaca Ontario Spring Show. Khan placed 4th at the 2014 Alpaca Ontario Spring Show. Her third cria is a dark brown female, Kabuki. Kit Kat, her fourth cria is stunning, white boots, white face, dark, dark grey body and blue eyes! Kit Kat was sired by RRA Granite's Lancelot. All 8 of Kit Kat's crias are grey also. 2016 Kameyosek produced a beautiful bay black female - Kindness, sired by Valiant. Stunning, Kameyosek's 2017 cria - Kameron the Grey is stunning. Lots of wonderful light grey fibre. Kameron sired 15 crias for our herd, 8 greys, 4 browns and 3 fawns. Surprise, bred to our silver grey male Mars and Beyond they produced a black female, Kameo who has super, super fine fibre. 2019's cria was another gorgeous grey male, Kamelot sired by Prince. His cria fleece was over 6 inches of very fine Grade 1 fibre. Her 2023 cria is a dark steel grey female, Kammie, with a dark circle around her right eye. She too has wonderful fibre. Kameyosek is a very easy birther; her first cria there was no sign of labour when I left the barn, when I came back in less than an hour her cria was there. Kameyosek is a good mother with lots of milk, all of her crias have doubled their birth weight within one month. Kameyosek means Beautiful One in Cree. Her great grandsire is the well known Acero Marka's Sky Pilot, one of Canada's most respected herd sires and sire of numerous champions. Her great grandsire Cpt. Nemo's last fibre stats at 10 years of age were: CV 22.0, SD 4.4, CV 19.2, %>30 6.2. Typically Nemo's offspring are visually pleasing with medium size square stocky build, excellent overall coverage head to toe, finer type crimp, soft fibre and friendly personality and that pretty much sums up Kameyosek. .

Bakwene – his name suits him perfectly, meaning Smokey Grey in Ojibwe. When he was first born, Bakwene appeared to be a medium brown boy with just a faint touch of grey around his mouth, tail, and toes—so subtle you had to look closely to see it. But a few weeks later, during his early halter training, we took another good look at his fibre and discovered something incredible: a gorgeous smokey grey, just a shade lighter than his mom, Kit Kat. To our delight, Bakwene became our very first modern grey! As a cria, Bakwene was shy and preferred to stay close to his mom whenever people were around. Since being weaned, however, he has blossomed into a calm, curious alpaca who enjoys visits and is easy to handle. Bakwene began his breeding career in the summer of 2023. His very first offspring included: Emanon, a dark brown male out of bay black Kameo. Truly Scrumptious, a bay black female out of true black Truly Cute. By 2025, Bakwene had an outstanding year as a sire, producing two striking modern silver grey males—Cessna and Wee Scotch. Once they are sheared in the spring, their stunning grey fibre will be on full display. He also sired Daisy, a dark rose grey female, and another beautiful dark brown female yet to be named. Bakwene has truly lived up to his name, carrying on the smokey grey legacy in the most beautiful way.
